Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Wang Jangeng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,875.00 (€ 1,306.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Jangeng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Senza Titolo, which sold at auction in April 2018 for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,637.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wang Jangeng kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.875,00 (€ 1.306,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Jangeng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Senza Titolo beobachtet, die im April 2018 für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.637,90) versteigert wurde.
