This artwork by Wang Hui achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Winter Flowers sold for HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 191,736.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endless Streams and Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 28,925,000.00 (€ 3,169,122.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Hui erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Winter Flowers für HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 191.736,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Endless Streams and Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.925.000,00 (€ 3.169.122,64).
