Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape in the Style of Jiang Shen by Wang Hui was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June this year. It achieved a price of HKD 6,930,000.00 (€ 809,769.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Endless Streams and Mountains, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 28,925,000.00 (€ 3,169,122.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape in the Style of Jiang Shen von Wang Hui kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 6.930.000,00 (€ 809.769,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Endless Streams and Mountains beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 28.925.000,00 (€ 3.169.122,64) versteigert wurde.
