Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studio in Songshan after Lu Haoran by Wang Hui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 335,154.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,400,000.00 – 3,400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Hui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Endless Streams and Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 28,925,000.00 (€ 3,169,122.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Studio in Songshan after Lu Haoran von Wang Hui wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 335.154,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.400.000,00 – 3.400.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Hui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Endless Streams and Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.925.000,00 (€ 3.169.122,64).
