Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Wang Hui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 1,764,000.00 (€ 188,863.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Hui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endless Streams and Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 28,925,000.00 (€ 3,169,122.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Wang Hui wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.764.000,00 (€ 188.863,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Hui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Endless Streams and Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 28.925.000,00 (€ 3.169.122,64).
