The work Aged Woods and Clear Streams by Wang Hui was worth HKD 8,890,000.00 (€ 988,477.89) to a buyer in November 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Hui - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Endless Streams and Mountains, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 28,925,000.00 (€ 3,169,122.64).

Die Arbeit Aged Woods and Clear Streams von Wang Hui war einem Käufer im November 2021 HKD 8.890.000,00 (€ 988.477,89) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.800.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Hui mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Endless Streams and Mountains beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 28.925.000,00 (€ 3.169.122,64) versteigert wurde.
