Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wordless Encounter by Wang Huaiqing was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 14,480,000.00 (€ 1,673,463.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 12,000,000.00 – 18,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Huaiqing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traces Of Nature – 4 (Triptych) (Painted In 2004) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 8,925,000.00 (€ 9,114,171.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wordless Encounter von Wang Huaiqing kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 14.480.000,00 (€ 1.673.463,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 12.000.000,00 – 18.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Huaiqing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traces Of Nature – 4 (Triptych) (Painted In 2004) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.925.000,00 (€ 9.114.171,20).
