The work Great Criticism Series: Pepsi And Coca Cola (Two Works) by Wang Guangyi was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,653.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 71%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Guangyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mao AO in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,036,000.00 (€ 2,923,829.97).

Die Arbeit Great Criticism Series: Pepsi And Coca Cola (Two Works) von Wang Guangyi wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.653,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 71%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mao AO im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.036.000,00 (€ 2.923.829,97).
