Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy in Seal and Clerical Scripts by Wang Fu'An. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,746.35), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Fu'An - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 91,540.29).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Seal and Clerical Scripts von Wang Fu'An zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.746,35) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Fu'An mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 91.540,29) versteigert wurde.
