Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wang Fangyu could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal auction, the work "Dragon" Calligraphy In Celerical Script changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 923.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Fangyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cold Mountain in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,400.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Fangyu konnte im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal wechselte die Arbeit "Dragon" Calligraphy In Celerical Script für USD 1.250,00 (€ 923,53) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Fangyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cold Mountain im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.400,41).
