In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Tranquil Living by Wang Ershui. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,616.04), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Ershui; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Lake Village sold at auction in December 2015 with the realized price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,394.60).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tranquil Living von Wang Ershui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.616,04) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Ershui; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Lake Village im Dezember 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.394,60).
