A top price for Wang Dong
This artwork by Wang Dong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Wang Meng sold for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,955.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. This high result makes Landscape After Wang Meng the most expensive artwork by Wang Dong that we have observed at auctions so far.
