Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couplet In Clerical Script by Wan Jing was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,536.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wan Jing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bao Zhao'S Poem In Clerical Script in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,656.72).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script von Wan Jing wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.536,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wan Jing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bao Zhao'S Poem In Clerical Script im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.656,72).
