Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teens - 1984 by Walton Ford was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 13,120.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teens - 1984 von Walton Ford kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.120,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walton Ford erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bitter Gulfs im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.445.000,00 (€ 1.059.384,16).
