Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fim by Waltércio Caldas was sold in the Latin America auction at Phillips in New York in November 2011. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,181.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Waltércio Caldas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Azul de Superfície in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,710.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fim von Waltércio Caldas wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Latin America bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.181,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Waltércio Caldas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Azul de Superfície im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.710,99).
