Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Café Suisse, Dieppe by Walter Richard Sickert was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in November 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 28,487.03). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Richard Sickert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L' Eldorado in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Café Suisse, Dieppe von Walter Richard Sickert wurde im November 2015 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 28.487,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Richard Sickert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L' Eldorado im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
