In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work The view across the bay by Walter Meegan. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,604.11), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter Meegan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Brooklyn Bridge in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,253.48).

Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit The view across the bay von Walter Meegan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.604,11) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Meegan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Brooklyn Bridge im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.253,48).
