In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Fishing boats at the quay by moonlight; and Another similar sold for GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,774.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Meegan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Brooklyn Bridge in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,253.48).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Meegan erzielte im Februar 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Fishing boats at the quay by moonlight; and Another similar für GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.774,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Meegan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Brooklyn Bridge im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 15.253,48).
