Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In August 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Athlete: Photographs by Walter Iooss, Jr., which included the work Muhammad Ali vs. Floyd Patterson, Las Vegas, NV, 1965 by Walter Iooss Jr.. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,351.21). Admittedly, works by Walter Iooss Jr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dwight Clark, “The Catch”, San Francisco, CA, 1982 in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,417.56).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im August 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Athlete: Photographs by Walter Iooss, Jr. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Muhammad Ali vs. Floyd Patterson, Las Vegas, NV, 1965 von Walter Iooss Jr. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.351,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Iooss Jr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dwight Clark, “The Catch”, San Francisco, CA, 1982 im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.417,56).
