Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,398.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter Iooss Jr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dwight Clark, “The Catch”, San Francisco, CA, 1982 in August 2020 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,417.56).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Michael Jordan, Coconut Grove, FL, 1993 von Walter Iooss Jr. wurde im August 2020 in der Auktion The Athlete: Photographs by Walter Iooss, Jr. bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.398,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
