Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a young woman in a landscape by Sigmund Walter Hampel was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2001. The price achieved of GBP 564.00 (€ 897.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigmund Walter Hampel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Artist's Daughter, Ulrike Hampel, aged 4 in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,614.53).
