In the Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art auction, the work The Fairy Tale (Das Märchen) changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 4,038.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Firle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Telling sweet stories, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 9,600.00.
