Sold at the lower estimate price
The work One illustration for Arthur Kelly's The Rosebud and Other Tales - 'The Little Animal' by Walter Crane was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2010. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,160.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Crane achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fate of Persephone that fair field Of Enna, where Proserpine, gathering flowers, Herself a fairer flower, by gloomy Dis Was gathered. (Paradise Lost, Book IV, lines 268-71) in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 424,650.00 (€ 656,837.38).

Die Arbeit One illustration for Arthur Kelly's The Rosebud and Other Tales - 'The Little Animal' von Walter Crane kam im Dezember 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fate of Persephone that fair field Of Enna, where Proserpine, gathering flowers, Herself a fairer flower, by gloomy Dis Was gathered. (Paradise Lost, Book IV, lines 268-71) im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 424.650,00 (€ 656.837,38).
