Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Paul F. Walter, which included the work Male figures (five works) by Walt Kuhn. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,269.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walt Kuhn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chico in a Silk Hat in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,590,000.00 (€ 1,408,700.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Paul F. Walter durch, in der auch die Arbeit Male figures (five works) von Walt Kuhn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.269,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walt Kuhn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chico in a Silk Hat im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.590.000,00 (€ 1.408.700,27).
