Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online, which included the work Expressions by Walid Siti. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,341.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walid Siti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Point View in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,094.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Expressions von Walid Siti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.341,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walid Siti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Point View im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 29.094,13).
