This artwork by Valenty Slivicki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures Part II auction, the work Portrait Of Prince Czartoryski, Circa 1790 sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,764.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valenty Slivicki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Count Aleksandr Matveevich Dmitriev-Mamonov (1758-1803), in military uniform of green coat with red facings, white cummerbund, wearing the red sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Alexander Nevskii, and the Order of St. John of J, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,628.0
