In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work A gentleman, in profile to left, in blue coat with light blue facings and collar, lace cravat, powdered wig en queue by Valenty Slivicki. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,575.29), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valenty Slivicki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Count Aleksandr Matveevich Dmitriev-Mamonov (1758-1803), in military uniform of green coat with red facings, white cummerbund, wearing the red sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Alexander Nevskii, and the Order of St. John of J in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,

Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Count Aleksandr Matveevich Dmitriev-Mamonov (1758-1803), in military uniform of green coat with red facings, white cummerbund, wearing the red sash and breast-star of the Imperial Russian Order of St. Alexander Nevskii, and the Order of St. John of J im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.628,07).
