A top price for W. R. Waters - as previously expected

Waters was sold in the An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House auction at Christies in London in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,449.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A foxhound in a parkland landscape is the most expensive artwork by W. R. Waters that we have observed at auctions so far.

Waters wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.449,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
