A top price for W. R. Waters - as previously expected

The work A foxhound in a parkland landscape by W. R. Waters was sold in the An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House auction at Christies in London in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,449.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A foxhound in a parkland landscape is the most expensive artwork by W. R. Waters that we have observed at auctions so far.
