Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Bridge by Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,287.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rhythm (Adam and Eve) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,729,250.00 (€ 3,449,863.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Bridge von Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 46.287,32) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rhythm (Adam and Eve) im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.729.250,00 (€ 3.449.863,51).
