Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Le Bois changed hands for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,317.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vladimir Davidovich Baranov-Rossiné achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rhythm (Adam and Eve) in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,729,250.00 (€ 3,449,863.51).
