Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Woman by the Sea by Vladimir Yankilevsky was worth GBP 94,000.00 (€ 109,534.44) to a buyer in June 2021. This price was achieved in the auction The Russian Sale at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 22,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vladimir Yankilevsky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tryptich N10 sold at auction in April 2010 with the realized price of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 153,344.69).
