In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Three Eggs in an Oval Niche by Vitaly Komar. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,280.00 (€ 41,110.37), 18% above the upper estimate. With this result, Three Eggs in an Oval Niche is even the most expensive work of art by Vitaly Komar that we have observed at auctions so far.
