The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,969.91), 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virgilio Ripari achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Wally in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,078.57).
