In the The Collection of Sandro & Lidia Orsi, Ca'Mera, Varese and Property from the Villa of an Aristocratic Lombard Family auction, the work A peasant woman and children; A cripple (illustrated); A peasant woman; and A traveller (illustrated) sold for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,592.16) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincenzo Martinelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Floral Garland Surrounding A River Landscape in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 26,207.15).
