Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A Walk In The Woods by Vincenzo Giovannini for GBP 936.00 (€ 1,354.38). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincenzo Giovannini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Das Forum Romanum in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 35,960.00.
