Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work The racing yawl Lethe under full canvas (illustrated); and The racing yawl Lethe under reduced sail by Vincenzo d'Esposito. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 970.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vincenzo d'Esposito - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A view of Valletta Harbour, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,116.32).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 812,50 (€ 970,94) einen neuen Besitzer.
