Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Head of Christ by Vincent Sellaer. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,724.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent Sellaer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allegory Of Charity in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 134,480.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of Christ von Vincent Sellaer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.724,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent Sellaer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allegory Of Charity im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 134.480,90).
