etching, circa 1915, on simili Japon, signed in pencil, with margins, four pinholes just outside the plate corners, minor soiling, residual gluestaining in the sheet margins, a collector's stamp and pencil inscription on the reverse, the reverse left margin glued to the paper passepartout, this stamped in blue Huszar and inscribed No.3, all within second passepartout annoted in pencil 22 sept. 1987 gekocht bij Huszar's zoon in Deil - collectie van +- 30 etsen gezien

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View on a village by Vilmos Huszár was sold in the Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,792.50 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,600.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilmos Huszár achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition abstraite in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 199,613.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View on a village von Vilmos Huszár wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.792,50 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.600,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilmos Huszár erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition abstraite im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 199.613,38).
