This artwork by Vilmos Huszár achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Red herring on a pewter plate sold for EUR 2,390.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilmos Huszár achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition abstraite in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 237,500.00 (€ 199,613.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 99 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vilmos Huszár erzielte im Juni 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Red herring on a pewter plate für EUR 2.390,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilmos Huszár erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition abstraite im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 199.613,38).
