In August this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Paintings, furniture and varia, which included the work View from a forest with a stone fence by Vilhelm Petersen. The »bidding war« ended at DKK 6,000.00 (€ 804.87), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vilhelm Petersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Nago at sunset in July 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,812.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia durch, in der auch die Arbeit View from a forest with a stone fence von Vilhelm Petersen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 6.000,00 (€ 804,87) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vilhelm Petersen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A view of Nago at sunset im Juli 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.390,00 (€ 3.812,14).
