Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Vijay Shinde was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 13,200.00 (€ 10,874.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Vijay Shinde have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2007 the work without title was auctioned for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,361.17).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vijay Shinde kam im März 2006 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 10.874,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Vijay Shinde konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2007 die Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.361,17) versteigert.
