Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Acrobats by Victor Salmones was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,132.56). Other works by Victor Salmones have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2014 by the work The Search at USD 7,188.00 (€ 5,250.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Acrobats von Victor Salmones im August 2010 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.132,56) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Victor Salmones wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2014 die Arbeit The Search mit USD 7.188,00 (€ 5.250,55).
