Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in New York held the auction Trespassing, which included the work Innerbloom by Victor Mosquera. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,350.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Mosquera - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tranquillity in Chaos, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 36,540.00 (€ 43,290.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Trespassing durch, in der auch die Arbeit Innerbloom von Victor Mosquera zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.350,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Mosquera mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tranquillity in Chaos beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 36.540,00 (€ 43.290,03) versteigert wurde.
