Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Road 2000 by Victor Majzner for AUD 1,762.50 (€ 987.65). This price was achieved in the auction AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS at Christies in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Victor Majzner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stalking out Paradise in May 2001 with an auction result of AUD 10,575.00 (€ 6,338.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Road 2000 von Victor Majzner für AUD 1.762,50 (€ 987,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Majzner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stalking out Paradise im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 10.575,00 (€ 6.338,75).
