In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures including Russian Pictures, which included the work A Maiden Feeding Squirrels by Victor Lagye. The price achieved of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 12,895.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Maiden Feeding Squirrels is the most expensive artwork by Victor Lagye that we have observed at auctions so far.
