In April 2002 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Cardinal's Visit by Victor Cacciarelli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,275.00 (€ 16,968.45), 70% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Victor Cacciarelli; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Cardinal's first visit sold at auction in December 2000 with the realized price of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,717.64).

Im April 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Cardinal's Visit von Victor Cacciarelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.275,00 (€ 16.968,45) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Victor Cacciarelli; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Cardinal's first visit im Dezember 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 18.717,64).
