Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A pinch of snuff by Victor Cacciarelli for GBP 1,128.00 (€ 1,469.71). This price was achieved in the auction At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Cacciarelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Cardinal's first visit in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,717.64).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion At Home - British and Continental Pictures & Works on Paper bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Cacciarelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Cardinal's first visit im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.750,00 (€ 18.717,64).
