The work A River Landscape With A Windmill And Cattle by Victor Bauffe was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,000.00 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Victor Bauffe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A still life with roses sold at auction in July 2000 with the realized price of NLG 12,872.20 (€ 5,658.16).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Victor Bauffe; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A still life with roses im Juli 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 12.872,20 (€ 5.658,16).
