Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Translation Des Cendres De L'Empereur Napoleon De Saint-Hélène A Paris Each Sheet 30 X 44Cm by Victor Adam for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,510.53). This price was achieved in the auction Napoleon BonaparteThe British Sale at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Victor Adam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Arabic scout in January 2007 with an auction result of EUR 7,200.00.
