Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Woman With Candles by Vicki Varvaressos. The price achieved of AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,354.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Vicki Varvaressos have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2008 the work Australian boy With Father was auctioned for AUD 6,240.00 (€ 3,642.59).

Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman With Candles von Vicki Varvaressos zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 5.875,00 (€ 3.354,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Vicki Varvaressos konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2008 die Arbeit Australian boy With Father für AUD 6.240,00 (€ 3.642,59) versteigert.
